The Teraplast Group has, starting with June 14th 2017 a new CFO, Ioana Birta.

Ioana Birta is a finance and accounting specialist. Since 2013, Ioana led the office of EY in Cluj- Napoca.  During the last 10 years, Ioana worked for top international audit an advisory firms. Ioana is a member of ACCA and CAFR.

I am not new to the activity of the Teraplast Group, therefore I know I’m joining a professional team and I’m part of a stable company, with real chances of development. After more than 10 years in the financial audit field, I’m glad to take over this role, which will bring me diversity and definitely new challenges. My goal for the financial department of Teraplast is to add value to the business and to actively contribute to the Group’s development”, declared Ioana Birta, the new CFO of TeraPlast Group.

Edit Orban will continue to coordinate the financial activities of the subsidiary TeraSteel.

„Continuing my mandate as CFO of TeraSteel, I will coordinate the integration in our Group of the newly acquired companies, given the synergies of the businesses of Terasteel Serbia and Depaco. The two new businesses target a 70 million euro turnover for 2018, so their contribution to the Group’s development is essential. The professional experience and expertise that Ioana Birta has, are an asset to the Group’s finance and accounting function, bringing a contribution to reaching the financial performance targets of the Teraplast Group.”, declared Edit Orban, CFO of TeraSteel.

„In the context of the increased complexity of the Group, especially through the acquisition of the new factories in Romania and Serbia, the increase of the team, naturally follows. It’s difficult for us to find specialists just in Bistrita. We are planning to develop our financial analysis and marketing departments, in our office in Cluj”, declared Mirela Pop, Chief Executive Officer of TeraPlast.

The Teraplast Group includes the company Teraplast (producer of pipes, compounds and PVC profile) and the subsidiaries TeraSteel (producer of sandwich panels and galvanized structures), Teraglass (producer of PVC windows and doors), Teraplast Logistic (starting with June 2016 it includes the logistic activities of Teraplast Group) and Politub (producer of polyethylene pipes). Recently, Teraplast Group purchased 50% of Depaco, the second producer of metallic tiles in Romania, and a sandwich panel’s plant in Serbia, with a production capacity similar to the one of TeraSteel.
