III. 1.  PVC pressure pipes for water and industrial fluids
The PVC pressure pipes are manufactured by extrusion, according to the German standards DIN 8061/8062 specifications.

Applications and recommended types:
Fresh water transport - distribution networks

Recommended types: PN 4, PN 6, PN 10, PN 16
    Irrigation networks

Recommended types: PN 4, PN 6, PN 10, PN 16
    Industrial fluids pressured networks

Recommended types: PN 10, PN 16, PN 25

Mechanical and physical characteristics of pipes:
Aspect:

pipes are straight, having a circulary section;
    pipes ends are perpendicularly cut on pipe axis;
    internal and external surfaces and also the cross section are smooth, without fissures, air bubbles or unknown inclusions.
    Colour:

the colour is uniform - RAL 7011;
    Sizes and aspect change after heating:

length variation:<5%
    aspect:the samples in the drying closet should not have swellings, air bubbles or exfoliation signs.
    Flexibility at 80-100°C:

pipes resist to bending at a curving radius R>10*D.
    Vicat softening point:

≥ 79°C
    Water absorption at 100°C :

≤ 6 mg/cm²
    Resistance to the inner pressure (pressure pipes)

la 20°C / 39 MPa / 42 MPa  :    ≥ 1 h
    la 60°C / 7,5 MPa / 10 MPa :    ≥ 1000 h
    Fire resistance:

the burning does not continue after removing the flame, which blows out by itself in 30 seconds.
    Chemical resistance:

pipes resist to the usual chemical substances attack.
    TERAPLAST produces the PVC pipes for fresh water networks using non-toxic stabilizers based on Ca and Zn.
    Owing to the exceptional chemical resistance of the material, the PVC pipes can also apply for industrial fluids under pressure transportation. The PVC pipes
reaction against to the attack of different chemical products could be noticed on PVC chemical resistance tables, provided by TERAPLAST if requested.

For pipes mounting in PVC networks, it is recommended to use PVC fittings owing to their chemical resistance, high fiability and lack of sediments. The PVC network connection to the metallic or other materials networks can be made
using adequate passing fittings

Joint type:
Rigid

application areas: steady fields, zones without increased seismic activity, in low linear thermic extension zone.
    Elastic

application areas: unsteady fields, seismic zones, high linear thermic extension zones

Joining mode:
sticking with adhesive
    sealing with elastomeric rubber ring

Approval:
The PVC pipes are certified by a Technical Agreement.

Harmless Certificate:
The PVC pipes applied for fresh water networks are certified by a Harmless Certificate, approved by the Health Ministry.

Environment protection:
the material is non-toxic for the environment;
    products are recyclable;
    they do not damage the ozone layer.

Delivery lengths:
4000 ± 50 mm,  6000 ± 50 mm.
    At customer`s request pipes can be cut at any other lengths.

Accessories offered by Teraplast :
PVC pressure fittings with smooth socket or Tecnogiunto
    adhesives
    Tecnogiunto type sealing rings - The good tightness ensured by the Tecnogiunto ring is determined by its special shape (”swallow tail” in section), the ring wings being pressed on joined pipes walls by the network existing pressure

Packing:
palletized, in wood ladle shank

Storage:
lodged on their types, in special places, taking care not to put them in contact with chemical products aggressive to PVC or with abrasive materials.

Handling and transport:
carefully handled and transported, properly fixed, protected from strikes and scratches.
    it is not allowed to store other materials upon the pipes.
